To ensure a smooth and stress-free experience, we’ve created a clear policy outlining how we handle gender reveal information, ordering, delivery, and confidentiality.

1. Keeping Your Baby’s Gender a Secret

We know that gender reveal cakes rely on absolute confidentiality. Whether your doctor emails us directly or you upload a sealed gender envelope, our team follows strict processes to protect your privacy.

Only your assigned pastry chef or customer support specialist will view the gender.
Information is stored securely and deleted after your cake is completed.
We never share the gender with anyone except the customer who placed the order.

2. How to Send Us Your Baby’s Gender Information

To avoid mistakes, we accept gender details in the following ways:

Upload a photo of the gender envelope when placing your order.
Email us the gender information: orders@lesud.co.nz
Have your midwife/sonographer send us the result directly.

We recommend sending gender information at least 48 hours before pickup or delivery to ensure your cake is prepared correctly.

3. Lead Time & Order Timeline

To maintain the quality that makes Le Sud one of the best cake shops in Auckland, we require:

Minimum 48 hours notice for standard gender reveal cakes
3–5 days notice for custom designs or themed cakes
Same-day cake delivery in Auckland is not available for gender reveal cakes due to the special handling required

4. Payment & Confirmation Policy

All gender reveal cake orders must be paid in full to confirm the booking. Once payment is completed, the date is secured and your cake is scheduled for production.

Quotes are valid for 7 days.
Bookings are accepted only after payment is received.
Your order confirmation email will include pickup/delivery details and a summary of your design.

5. Delivery Policy – Auckland-Wide Gender Reveal Cake Delivery

Le Sud offers Auckland gender reveal cake delivery, covering South Auckland, East Auckland, Auckland CBD, and selected areas of West & North Auckland.

Deliveries occur between 10am–4pm
We cannot guarantee specific delivery times
Someone must be present to receive the cake
If no one is home, the courier will leave the cake in a safe place (at customer’s risk)

For large events or custom setups, contact us for a special event delivery quote.

6. Pickup Policy

You may pick up your cake from our Auckland patisserie.

Please arrive during your selected time window
Cakes must be transported flat in an air-conditioned vehicle
Once the cake leaves our shop, we are not responsible for damage caused during transport

7.. Cake Design, Colours & Allergens

All our gender reveal cakes are made fresh with:

Premium French butter
Real fruit purées
High-quality couverture chocolate
Natural food colouring unless a specific colour is requested

Allergen note:
While we offer gluten-free, eggless, and vegan cake options, our kitchen handles allergens such as gluten, dairy, eggs, and nuts.

8. Mistakes or Quality Concerns

If you have concerns about your order, please contact us within 12 hours of receiving the cake.
We may request photos or the physical cake to review the issue.
If the mistake is ours, we will offer a partial or full refund or remake your cake depending on the situation.
